What is LipoLite?
LipoLite is the new evolution of laser lipolysis devices. It is the minimally invasive system designed to destroy fat cells and coagulate tissue on the body and the face, cost-effectively. It is ideal for areas that are difficult to treat with traditional liposuction, such as under the chin and upper arms. LipoLite features SelectPulse™ - which allows the user to have precision control over both the pulse energy and repetition rate to optimize both the photomechanical and photothermal destruction of the adipose tissue more effectively.
LipoLite causes fat cells to break apart and be eliminated by the body through non-selective heating of the adipose tissue. The 1064nm Nd:YAG laser energy is delivered via an optical fiber inserted through a tiny incision to the treatment site. The thermal energy has the added advantage of tissue tightening via simultaneous photo-stimulation of dermal collagen. Due to the coagulation properties of Nd:YAG lasers, there is less bruising or bleeding as compared to traditional liposuction for faster recovery. As a complementary procedure to traditional liposuction, Laser LipoSculpture with LipoLite can treat smaller areas not possible with liposuction.
What areas of the body can be treated with LipoLite?
Ideal treatment areas include areas on the neck, arms, back, abdomen, thighs, buttocks and smaller areas on the face. The gynomastia can also be treated.
When can patients expect to see results?
Some results can be seen almost immediately, yet visible improvement will be most noticeable 6-8 weeks after treatment.
Does LipoLite require anesthesia?
LipoLite is minimally invasive, and considerably less traumatic to the body than traditional liposuction - so only local anesthesia is required for treatments.
How does a patient tolerate LipoLite?
Local anesthesia helps make the LipoLite procedure comfortable. After treatment, and when the anesthesia begins to wear off, many patients experience minimal bruising, plus minor aches and pains that naturally dissipate over time. LipoLite patients can typically return to work 1-2 days after treatment.
Who is a good candidate for the LipoLite procedure?
Patients who are in good health, have stubborn areas of fat that persist despite diet and exercise, and have appropriate expectations of treatment results are good candidates for the LipoLite procedure.
How many treatments are required?
For most patients, only one treatment is typically required for each treatment area. The session may last from 30 minutes to two hours depending on the areas treated.
